ARP is proud to be involved with Diesel Motorsports. Check this out!
DIESEL Motorsports on TV . . . again! This time in a Series!
In the years past DIESEL Motorsports has been featured on TV once in
our second year for drag racing then twice in our third year for sled
pulling.
Now in our 5th year we are going for four or more shows in a Series of nothing but DIESEL Motorsports. Yes these will be on cable channels like all the other smaller motorsports segments but it's a start for our sport.
These 30 minute TV shows will be filmed at Thunder in Muncie, June 23,
East Coast Nationals July 21, and Rocky Mountain Diesel Shootout in Salt
Lake City, UT on August 17/18! We will have professional film crews at
all three events and some footage from last year will also be used.
Instead of just showing trucks running down the track or pulling we have
opened the show up to interviews with competitors, manufacturers, and
track officials. A whole new open approach to filming DIESEL Motorsports
will be featured in these shows along with getting to know some of the
players in the sport.
All of the shows in this series are
provided by funding from DIESEL Motorsports sponsors and H&S
Performance through years of hard work and finding the right production
company to produce and direct these shows. The content is directed by
DIESEL Motorsports management in a way that best reflects the new
direction that the sport is heading.
A true sanctioning body
motorsport that is safe and enjoyable for diesel enthusiasts while
entertaining for the entire family and ages. A sport where mainstream
companies can be properly represented without any liability worries or
explanations.
This series on TV is to show the rest of the
country what DIESEL Motorsports is about and how they should come and
enjoy it. Over 5 million diesel trucks are in the US and DIESEL
Motorsports is no where near that number so we have a lot of people to
reach!
This is taking baby steps to begin that process, in
hopes that more and more will join our fan base and competitors. Come to
the events and bring your diesel truck or vehicle to participate and
possibly get filmed for TV. It's always fun to come to one of the shows
and now be a part of history for DIESEL Motorsports, it all begins in
Muncie Indiana where the first DIESEL ONLY event was held just 12 years
ago.
The Series will begin showing on the Fox Sports Cable
Midwest in September then move to America One cable that is available in
most states in October. Every Saturday at 8am, make sure to check your
local cable listings.
Plan to attend one of the events and be a part of the DIESEL Motorsports TV!
This race season start off at Speedworld Dragstrip in Wittman, AZ on March 10th. We had a great run First race of the year, we at Bully Dog are pumped up. Spent the two nights before the race getting the truck finished to go. Thursday before we left we were testing the brakes system of the truck and the master cylinder rod broke. Luckily we had a spare. Made it to Arizona for the test and tune. After the changes we made to the truck wanted to make sure thing still felt right so went down the track once for a shake down. Race day we got the truck ready, did our first qualifying pass, not so good had a hard time lighting the turbo. So I figured I would make it up on the second pass. Second pass had a terrible launch, but the truck started to pull hard. Went through the traps like "Wow that was a good run!!". Then realized the truck was not running. Towed the truck back to the trailer looked at the time slip. 9.80 at 144, AWESOME... Popped the hood of the truck and no start was not able to get up for the first elimination round. It was good seeing all the familiar faces at the track and also met some new people. I want to thank NHRDA, SPEEDWORLD and all the the Sponsors of the NHRDA for putting on another outstanding event. Also want to that all of our sponsors - Diesel Pros, Hellmann Performance, Airdog, Redline, Fiberwerks, Dealer Machine, Suncoast, RKL, Nitrous Outlet, ARP, Ironclad.
